Dragonball - Tournaments

22nd Tenka'ichi Budokai
(Dragonball Manga - Tales 112-134)
Second Match: Jackie Chun vs. Man-Wolf

Introduction | Preliminary Matches | First Match | Second Match | Third Match | Fourth Match
Fifth Match | Sixth Match | Final Match

Man-Wolf has the power to turn into a human after seeing the full moon. We discover he holds a grudge against Jackie Chun for destroying the moon during the 21st Tenka'ichi Budokai, meaning he can no longer get any girls because he can't transform into a human anymore. Kame Sen'nin easily dodges Man-Wolf's attacks and offers to turn him back into a human. Man-Wolf doesn't listen and continues to attack, so Kame Sen'nin tricks him into going out of bounds by throwing a bone out of the ring.

Man-Wolf continues his attacks on Kame Sen'nin, so Kame Sen'nin hits one of his pressure points, paralyzing Man-Wolf. Kame Sen'nin has Kuririn come in front of Man-Wolf and turn around. He then uses hypnosis on Man-Wolf to make him mistake Kuririn's head for the full moon. As a result, Man-Wolf transforms into a human permanently.

Here's something I don't understand... If Man-Wolf turned into either a wolf or human depending on when he looks at the full moon, does that mean every single time he looks at the full moon he transforms into his alternate form? At first they make it sound like he only transforms into a human at night, while the full moon is out but it seems that that is not the truth. Oh well.
