22nd Tenka'ichi Budokai
(Dragonball Manga - Tales 112-134)
Fifth Match: Jackie Chun vs. Tenshinhan

Introduction | Preliminary Matches | First Match | Second Match | Third Match | Fourth Match
Fifth Match | Sixth Match | Final Match

As Kame Sen'nin fights Tenshinhan, we learn that Kame Sen'nin is stronger than Tsuru Sen'nin. Kame Sen'nin's illusion tricks don't work against Tenshinhan because of his third eye. Tenshinhan decides it's time to use his full strength, which shocks Kuririn and Kame Sen'nin because they thought he was fighting at his full strength all along.

Tenshinhan uses his taiyo-ken attack, which temporarily blinds everyone except for the announcer. Goku and Kuririn realize that he wasn't blinded because he was wearing sunglasses.

Kame Sen'nin tries to convince Tenshinhan to leave the Crane School and use his powers for good instead. Tsuru Sen'nin realizes that Jackie Chun is Kame Sen'nin and Tenshinhan overhears. Kame Sen'nin tells Tenshinhan to keep the unmasking as their little secret.

Tenshinhan surprises everyone by mimicking the kamehameha. Kame Sen'nin realizes the kamehameha is too powerful and will kill some of the spectators, so he deflects it up into the sky.

Impressed with how many powerful warriors have emerged, Kame Sen'nin decides he can finally retire. He tells Tenshinhan one last time to walk the path of light and hops off the stage, landing out of bounds. Tsusu Sen'nin believes that he gave up because he was too scared to lose but Tenshinhan knows that Kame Sen'nin had not begun to use his true power.
