Manga Summaries DBZ Chapter 31: Vengeance Goku angers Nappa by telling him he's just talk, causing Nappa to attack him with a series of kicks and punches. Goku dodges every one of them and vanishes when Nappa throws a punch. Goku appears elsewhere and runs up to Nappa. In an instant, Goku is suddenly standing on Nappa's head. Nappa clamps his hands where Goku is standing, but Goku dissapears and reappears in front of Nappa, slugging him in the stomach (for Chaozu). Nappa kicks at him, but Goku ducks and punches Nappa away (for Yamcha). Before Nappa slams into a rock-pillar, he jumps off of the side and throws a fireball at Goku. Goku yells he won't dodge this time, and deflects the blast with chi alone. Goku jumps into the air and appears behind Nappa, slamming him into the ground (for Tenshinhan). As Nappa falls, Goku flies to the ground and runs at Nappa, kicking him into another rock-pillar (for Piccolo). Nappa emerges cursing at Goku. Vegeta yells at Nappa to calm down because he will be unable to beat Goku if he doesn't get a hold of himself. DBZ Chapter 32: The Mystery of the Kaio-Ken Now, Nappa charges up the two-finger blast and Goku flies out of it. Nappa sees him and follows him, throwing a punch at Goku (who dodges). Goku kicks at Nappa, but he dodges as well. Nappa decides to do his ultimate move, and fires a huge mouth-blast at Goku. Luckily, Goku counter-fires the blast, astounding Nappa and Vegeta. Vegeta yells for Nappa to come down because it'll take forever if this continues. Nappa decides to do something else now, and sees Kuririn and Gohan. Goku flies after Nappa, as Nappa charges up his ultimate attack again. Goku decides he has no choice but to use the kaio-ken technique. In an instant, Goku hits Nappa in the back and catches Nappa before he hits the ground. He tosses Nappa to Vegeta and tells him that he won't be fighting anymore, so he should take Nappa home and stay there. DBZ Chapter 33: The Last of Nappa As Vegeta wonders how Goku multiplied his power so fast, Goku explains to Kuririn and Gohan about how the Kaio-Ken technique works. He tells them you amplify your strength in a heartbeat, but there's always a chance that if you don't control your "chi" perfectly you could destroy yourself. Nappa asks for Vegeta to help him and Vegeta takes his hand, saying, "No Problem..." Then, Vegeta hurls Nappa in the air and decides Nappa is no good if he can't fight. Then, Vegeta charges up and blows Nappa away. Vegeta turns to see Goku holding Gohan and Kuririn's arm in the sky. Goku tells Kuririn and Gohan to get back to the Kame house. Kuririn tells Gohan that they'd just get in the way, so they'd better do what Goku says. Kuririn tells Goku he'd better not die and Goku tells Gohan he'll take him fishing after this is done. Goku lands and tells Vegeta that they are going to fight elsewhere (because the bodies are there and Goku doesn't want them to get trashed). Goku stops at a desert where "nothing is living" and they land, standing across from each other. DBZ Chapter 34: Mano a Maniac! Goku tells Vegeta that unlike the Planet Vegeta, even the lowest-born can outdo the elite if they work hard enough. Vegeta laughs at him and they both get in fighting stances. Goku starts off the fight by jumping up at Vegeta. As the battle begins, both seem to be almost equal, until Vegeta starts to beat Goku around. Then, Goku lands and does a kaio-ken, beginning to beat Vegeta around. Unfortunately, Vegeta recovers in the air and kicks Goku in the face before Goku can hit him again. Goku can't believe it, but "in a weird way, he starts to get kind of excited." DBZ Chapter 35: The Decisive Battle at Last!! As Goku smiles, he is trying to think of what to do. Vegeta decides to show him the over-whelming power of an elite saiyajin. Goku tells him to go ahead, and Vegeta powers up as lightning starts to strike all over the place and Goku looks around in horror. Then, Vegeta screams as wind starts to almost blow away Goku. In an instant, all of the vibrations stop and the clouds are blown away. Then, Vegeta attacks Goku with a huge power, easily trashing Goku. Goku tosses a fireball at Goku, who evades it with a Kaio-Ken Times Two. Vegeta shoots another fireball at Goku, which blows away part of Goku's shirt. Goku decides to do a Kaio-Ken Times Three as he tears off the rest of his shirt. Vegeta tells him that he made it easy to dodge on purpose, because "it would've been boring if Goku would've died without suffering." We see that Yajirobei is now watching and feeling how strong Vegeta and Goku are.
