Dragonball Manga Summaries

Dragonball manga was drawn by Akira Toriyama at BIRD Studios. There was originally never a Dragonball Z manga, that name was conceived by Toei Animation, it was always just Dragonball. Dragonball manga was published a chapter per Shonen Jump, from 1984 to 1995. Not too long after Akira Toriyama finished his Dragonball epic, FUNimation began to dub Dragonball Z anime episodes. A few years after that, in 1998 I believe, Viz started publishing translated-to-English Dragonball manga. Viz used to release this manga once a month, usually two chapters per issue, before they started releasing it in volume format only.

I summarize Dragonball manga by chapters. I used to summarize it by issues, but since issues are no longer the dominating form of Dragonball manga in the U.S., I feel it will be more useful to everyone in chapters.

Something you may notice is that there are sometimes duplicate or missing chapter numbers. I'm not sure if this was an error on Viz's part or what... I just use the chapter numbers that I see.
