Episode 86: The Last Wish
Air Date: October 26, 1999 @ 5PM Eastern
Japanese Episode: 101 - Air Date: July 31, 1991
Kaio telepathically instructs the Eldest Namek (Guru) for the wish to be for everyone on Namek,
except for Freeza, to be sent to Earth. Goku interrupts Kaio, telling him that the wish should be
for everyone on Namek, except for Freeza and himself, to be sent to Namek. Goku eventually
gets Kaio to comply, and Kaio tells the Eldest Namek the new wish. Then, the Eldest Namek relays the
wish to the newly ressurected Dende, who agrees and flies to Porunga. Vegeta walks around, wondering
how he is alive again, and he sees Goku fighting Freeza. Freeza spots Porunga and heads to it, but
Goku manages to hold him off. Eventually, Freeza gets away from Goku and makes his wish for eternal
life to Porunga. Dende then makes his wish, in Namek, and Porunga obeys Dende (since Dende
wished properly, in Namek). Vegeta arrives at the scene and attacks Freeza. But, before his blast can
reach Freeza, everyone except for Goku and Freeza are teleported to the earth. On earth, they all arrive
in some forest and Dende heals Piccolo.
Episode 87: Duel on a Vanishing Planet
Air Date: October 27, 1999 @ 5PM Eastern
Japanese Episode: 102 - Air Date: August 7, 1991
Freeza and Goku begin fighting each other again, but now Goku can go all out since he doesn't
have to worry about the safety of the others. The Eldest Namek reveals the wish that was made to
everyone around him, as well as Namek's definite, soon-to-be, destruction. Piccolo reflects on when
he was first born, when he fought Goku, and when Goku gave his life to help Piccolo kill Raditz. Vegeta
shows up laughing, since he will soon be rid of Freeza and Goku, ending up in him [Vegeta] being the
strongest in the universe. Vegeta also reveals his plan to collect the dragonballs and wish for
immortality. Piccolo tells Vegeta that there is no way that can happen anytime soon, since the dragonballs
can't be used again for a year. Freeza and Goku continue to fight, with neither seeming to gain an
advantage just yet.
Episode 88: Pathos of Frieza
Air Date: October 28, 1999 @ 5PM Eastern
Japanese Episode 103 - Air Date: August 14, 1991
Kaio reflects on the events up to now, starting with Freeza's attempt to destroy Namek.
As the fight between Goku and Freeza progresses, Goku starts to win against Freeza.
Goku eventually tells Freeza that he won't fight him anymore, since Freeza is losing more and more
power with every blow, not even being a challenge to him anymore. Goku turns back to normal and leaves
Freeza. Outraged, Freeza flings an energy disc at Goku, which cuts Goku's face. Goku gets really
angered that Freeza attacked him, since Goku allowed him a chance to live. Freeza tosses an energy
disc at Goku, who continually dodges it.
Episode 89: Frieza Defeated!
Air Date: October 29, 1999 @ 5PM Eastern
Japanese Episode 104 - Air Date: August 21, 1991
Freeza knows Goku's strategy, which is to fly back at Freeza getting the disc to hit him [Freeza].
Freeza creates another energy disc and tries to get them both to hit Goku. Freeza sees Goku doing
the same strategy again, thinking Goku must be stupid or something. Vegeta reflects on how he
and the saiyajins have always been obeying Freeza's orders, never being able to disobey them. He
also remembers when he told Nappa and Raditz he knew Freeza destroyed their planet, but he [Vegeta]
plans on getting stronger and stronger from fighting, until one day he destroys Freeza becoming ruler
of the universe. Goku uses his strategy on Freeza again, but this time he fires a blast at Freeza.
This confuses Freeza, but he still manages to avoid his discs. Then, he and Goku fight for a while until
Freeza is knocked to the ground. When Freeza gets back up, one of his energy discs slices him in half.
Goku tells Freeza that he had tried to help Freeza before, but now (for not listening when he had the
chance), Freeza has gotten what he deserved. As Goku leaves, Freeza pleads for help until Goku
eventually gives Freeza some of his own energy, so that Freeza will be able to move and maybe even
get away from the planet before it explodes.
