Dangerous Partners! Super Warriors Never Rest
(Dragonball Z Movie #10)

Written March 30, 2000

I definitely consider this to be one of the best Dragonball Z Movies. I don't know why, but alot of people don't really like this one. I guess it's because Vegeta's not in it and Goku's barely in it. But, that's what makes it so unique!

This movie is also very, very funny. I've seen this movie over five times and many parts are still very funny... especially the part where Brolli bends Trunks over his head, bending Trunks's back until he finally lets out what he's been holding so long... being around waterfalls definitely didn't help. Another part is where Kuririn dresses us as Piccolo and saves Gohan.

This movie also has its dramatic points, especially with the contribution of this movie's amazing soundtrack. This is the first movie that We Gotta Power was played in, making me like this movie even more.

I really liked the animation as well. The way they animated the waterfalls and all of the nice nature colors were a nice sight to see. The explosions were very well animated and so was the magma.

To me, Brolli is the best movie character out there. He is in 3 Dragonball Z Movies (including his "clone"). He has the most depth in character of all of the movie villains and he also is definitely the evilest one of all. His extremely sinister looks mixed with his legendary super saiyajin strength (to me) makes him the best movie villain.

Then there's the soundtrack. Wow, there is ALOT of music in this movie. Most of the time it's either happy, fun music or dramatic, kind of sad music. To me, the three best musical points in this movie is the tug of war with energy blasts, the opening (We Gotta Power), and last (but definitely not least) the closing theme, Kisseki no Big Fight!

I still think you'll like this movie, even if you're not a Chibi Trunks and Goten fan. I'm really not much of a fan of them, but I still enjoyed this movie. I purchased mine from DBGoten's Trading Zone. The animation is excellent, but there is a little bit of crackling in the sound for a while on my copy. If you're really into the Movie 7 and Movie 8 type fighting styles, you may not enjoy this movie as much as I did... But hey, you never know!

So, all in all, the animation, characters, plot, and music of this movie are all really good. I recommend you buy this movie as soon as you can. I think you'll enjoy it, because I did.
