The Galaxy's In Trouble! The Clash of the Great Warriors
(Dragonball Z Movie #9)

Written May 29, 2000

Wow, now this is definitely a great Dragonball Z Movie. It is also one of the most action-packed. Everything's good in this movie, including the artwork, humor, action, and music. What's really cool about this movie is it has everything in it; plenty of action and humor. Also, all of the characters up to this point (with the exception of villains) are in this movie (Bulma, Chaozu, Chichi, Goku, Gohan, Kame Sen'nin, Kaio-Sama, Kuririn, Oolong, Piccolo, Pu'ar, Tenshinhan, Trunks, Yamcha, and Vegeta)!

What really stands out about this movie is the action. There are several great fighting scenes. This movie is based on the World's Greatest Martial Arts Tournament, which is all fighting too. What's great about tournaments in Dragonball is seeing the Z-senshi fight each other. Seeing Tenshinhan take Trunks on was a really cool part. I'm glad that tournaments have been used all throughout the Dragonball series because they make the show so much more interesting than it would be without them.

There is also a good amount of humor in this movie, with most of it involving Mr. Satan one way or the other. One part that really stands out to me is how people keep jumping out in front of him, with one part having his eyes bug out.

This movie also has its fair share of drama, which is mostly at the end. You'll see what I mean if you see this movie. The classic DBZ Movie parts are also included in this movie: Piccolo saving Gohan, Piccolo and Vegeta having their backs to each other at the end, and everyone laughing at the end.

The artwork that really stands out in this movie is this one building-filled area that they fight in. The buildings look very realistic and were nicely drawn. Also, I thought the lava area and the field looked good. The music score from this movie is incredible. There is some really good background music used throughout the movie. Plus, the ending theme (Rising High in the Milky Way) was a great song that I've always liked. Piccolo's and Vegeta's themes were enjoyable as well.

There are only a few parts in this movie that were kind of confusing. Like, why the heck does Bojack kill his female henchman? She's just standing there and he pops up behind her, blowing her away. That doesn't make much sense. It also would've been nice if she could've had more lines, considering she only had one or two lines for the whole movie. Also, Bojack doesn't stand out much as a villain as Brolli, the androids, or Hildegarn did. His background is explained rather hastily and it would've been better if we could've been brought more in depth into his and his henchmen's characters.

Those parts are the only things in this movie that seemed kind of odd to me. The rest of this movie was really good, so I recommend buying this if you are able to. This is alot of people's favorite DBZ Movie, so there's a good chance you'll enjoy it.
