DBZ Episode Summaries Episodes 82-85 Episode 82: Namek's DestructionAir Date: October 20, 1999 @ 5PM EasternJapanese Episode: 97 - Air Date: June 26, 1991 Freeza gets angry at himself for not having destroyed Goku when he first saw him. Back at Freeza's main base, the guards detect Freeza's massive power level. Then they detect a power level greater than Freeza's. When attempting to home in on the larger power level, the computer explodes, taking out the tower that they're in. Freeza begins to charge up a powerful-looking attack as Goku charges up a blast of his own. Gohan finally reaches Goku's spaceship, carrying Piccolo inside. Back on earth, Dr. Briefs and Chichi detect a prescense in the ship and turn on the video-monitor. They begin to ask Gohan questions, but he just turns his back on them and goes to find Bulma. Freeza concentrates his charged up energy into a orange-red ball and hurls it into Namek. Kami contacts Kaio and tells him that Mr. Popo is dragonball hunting and has already collected five of the seven. Kaio determines that since Kaio is alive, Piccolo must be as well. Sure enough, he detects Namek is still there, but is going to blow up soon. Meanwhile, Freeza tells Goku he can breathe in space and he doesn't have to worry about Namek blowing up. Freeza and Goku begin to attack each other. Episode 83: A Final AttackAir Date: October 21, 1999 @ 5PM EasternJapanese Episode: 98 - Air Date: July 3, 1991 Goku and Freea fight and Goku is tossed away. This gives Freeza long enough to regain some of his strength. Meanwhile, Bulma clings onto a rock so that she doesn't fall into the raging waters below. After Goku makes it back to Freeza, Freeza begins to charge up to 100% of his power, causing his muscles to double in size. Kaio tells Goku to just attack Freeza, but Goku refuses because he wants to fight Freeza at his maximum strength. Gohan saves Bulma right before she falls to her doom. Freeza finally finishes charging to his maximum power and starts to trash Goku. Goku is able to get out of the way before he is shoved into the ground and the two begin to really go at it now. Episode 84: Approaching DestructionAir Date: October 22, 1999 @ 5PM EasternJapanese Episode 99 - Air Date: July 10, 1991 As Goku and Freeza continue to fight, Kami tells Kaio that Mr. Popo is about to summon Shenlong. Kaio comes up with a plan to wish back everyone killed by Freeza and his henchmen. Gohan makes it back to Goku's ship with Bulma, as the ship begins to sink into the ground. Freeza figures out Goku is stalling so that Gohan and the others can escape Namek in time. Freeza laughs that after he is done with Goku, he will hunt them down. Goku tells him that won't be possible if he's [Freeza's] dead. Freeza attacks goku, but Goku manages to counter attack and toss Freeza away. Freeza stops himself from flying into a crater with a blast that pushes him backwards. Kaio tells Kami "Guru" didn't die of natural causes. Then he tells Kami that Mr. Popo should wish for everyone who was killed by Freeza and his henchmen to be wished back to life. This way, "Guru" can be wished back so Porunga can be given a wish to transport everyone except Freeza back to earth before Namek explodes, killing only Freeza. Goku and Freeza fire powerful blasts at each other as Gohan gets Bulma to wait for Goku before they take off. Episode 85: Gohan ReturnsAir Date: October 25, 1999 @ 5PM EasternJapanese Episode 100 - Air Date: July 17, 1991 As Namek continues to waste away, Goku and Freeza's blasts collide. Goku's blast overwhelms Freeza, nearly blowing him [Freeza] away. Freeza manages to escape Goku's blast enabling him to slam Goku into the ground and hit him multiple times, until Goku is actually knocked into Namek. Gohan can no longer detect Goku's power, so he decides to go back to stop Freeza from escaping Namek. Gohan tells Bulma to get out of there without him, so that she can save Piccolo. Shenlong's wish finally comes through, wishing all of the Nameks back to life. Gohan arrives where Freeza is and Freeza just laughs at him. Gohan flies away from Freeza, only to be stopped. Then, he attempts to fly away again, only to be hit into the ground. We also see Vegeta comes back to life and so does Guru, restoring Porunga back to where he was before he vanished. Freeza angers Gohan by trash-talking Goku (that he cried before he died). This angers Gohan into a rage, and he flies away again. Freeza realizes Gohan is just stalling him and blocks off Gohan once more. Gohan hits Freeza and hits him with a Masenko. Unfortunately Freeza is still fine. Freeza goes to kill Gohan, but Goku ascends from the ground. Goku tells Gohan to leave again, and Gohan complies.
