DBZ Episode Summaries Episodes 50-53 Episode 50: Time Tricks and Body Binds Gurudo continuously uses his time freeze technique but still isn't able to defeat Gohan and Krillin. Eventually, he does a mind-freezing trick that freezes Krillin and Gohan in place. He begins to pummel them both and to finish them off, uses his mind to make a tree really sharp. He sends it at them and Vegeta decapitates him with a blast (But, what FUNimation censors out is Gurudo's head yelling at Vegeta at how mad he is being killed by a "lowly saiyajin" and then Vegeta blows the head away). The mind freeze dissapears and Krillin and Gohan jump out of the way before they're hit by the tree. Vegeta says he only killed Gurudo because he had a score to settle with him long ago. Then, Recoom comes up to fight Vegeta and Vegeta begins to power up. Episode 51: No Refuge from Recoom After powering up, Vegeta attacks Recoom and hurls him into a huge rock, shooting massive blasts at him until it looks as if Recoom has been defeated. Then, they see that Recoom is still alive with barely a scratch (except his armor was blasted away). Recoom and Vegeta fight again with Recoom having the advantage this time. He trashes Vegeta and picks his body out of the ground. It looks as if Vegeta's finshed off but instead, Vegeta blasts Recoom in the face. Recoom quickly recovers and just when it looks like he's about to finish off Vegeta with his "flames of fury", Krillin kicks Recoom in the head and Gohan pulls Vegeta out of the way of the blast. Recoom gets back up and kicks Krillin in the head, crippling him. Gohan eventually takes on Recoom by himself, but proves to be no match against him. Episode 52: Enter Goku Gohan continues to get up and attack Recoom, not matter how much he is wounded. He flies at Recoom one last time, only for Recoom to jump out of the way and break Gohan's neck. Gohan falls to the ground and isn't able to move or talk. Then, his power level falls down to almost 0. Right when Recoom is going to finish off Gohan, Goku's ship streaks across the sky and lands a distance away. Goku steps out and senses the biggest powers, Freeza and Ginyu. He can barely sense Krillin and Gohan because their powers are almost 0. He heads to the rescue in a burst of speed, startling Recoom, Jeice, and Baata. He gives Gohan a senszu bean, restoring him to normal health again. Episode 53: Goku... Super Saiyan? Goku gives a senszu bean to Krillin, astounding Recoom, Jeice, and Baata again. Goku wonders why Vegeta has fought the Ginyu Force and Krillin starts to explain. Instead, Goku reads Krillin's mind to see what has happened on Namek. Goku explains that ever since he trained under 100 times gravity, something strange has happened that he can't quite explain. He tells Krillin and Gohan he'll take care of Recoom by himself. Of course, the Ginyu have read Goku's power level as very low (1,000) so they feel he won't even be a challenge at all. But, Vegeta senses Goku is hiding almost all of his power. Vegeta then feels Goku's enormous power and thinks Goku is a super saiyajin. Goku easily takes out Recoom in one blow, and Jeice and Baata realize Goku can hide his power from the scouters. They prepare to fight Goku, while Krillin and Gohan prepare to jump in if Goku needs help. Goku just stands there while Jeice and Baata continuously fly around him, but they really are trying to hit him and Goku is so fast he moves out of the way of each person. When they fire at Goku, he dodges their blasts so fast, you can't even see him move, leaving you to wonder "if he really is a super saiyajin."
